Longevity Lab
How Old Is Your Body, Really?
Your birthday tells you one number.
Your strength, balance, aerobic capacity and muscle tell you another. The Peak Physical Performance Diagnostic measures all of them, scores each result against people your age, and shows you exactly what to train next.
THE CASE FOR MEASURINGThe Vital Signs Nobody Checks
Bloodwork shows how you’re aging inside. Physical performance shows how you’re aging in motion. Decades of research put it among the strongest predictors of how long, and how well, you live.
Aerobic fitness. In a Cleveland Clinic study of 122,007 patients, the least fit had about five times the risk of death of the fittest. That risk rivaled smoking and diabetes.
Strength. Across nearly 140,000 adults in 17 countries, every 5 kg (about 11 lb) drop in grip strength was linked to a 16% higher risk of death. Grip strength predicted mortality better than systolic blood pressure.
Balance. Middle aged and older adults who couldn’t stand on one leg for 10 seconds faced an 84% higher risk of death from any cause over about seven years.
Muscle. In a UCLA study of older adults, those with the most muscle for their height had significantly lower mortality than those with the least. Body composition told researchers more than BMI did.
Every one of these can be measured. Every one can be trained.

Why Physical Therapists?
Strength, balance, aerobic capacity and mobility sit at the center of aging well. Physical therapists spend their careers assessing, rebuilding and protecting exactly those systems. The Longevity Lab puts that expertise to work before anything goes wrong.
Longevity Runs on Movement
For Physicians
The Peak Physical Performance Diagnostic gives your patients objective scores across the physical domains most predictive of longevity, benchmarked against age matched norms. Each patient receives a physician ready report you can add to their care plan.

Your Labs Show the Inside. We Measure the Motion.
Next Health’s Executive Physical is one of the deepest looks at your biology available today: advanced bloodwork, hormones, inflammation, imaging and cellular aging. It shows how you’re aging beneath the surface.
The Peak Physical Performance Diagnostic shows what that biology can do. How strong you are. How well you balance, move and recover. How your aerobic engine compares with others your age. Every test is run and interpreted by a licensed physical therapist, the clinician trained to read movement and rebuild it.
Together, they give you the full picture of how you’re aging.

Meet the Team
The Longevity Lab
Brendan, DPT - Longevity Lab Manager
Brendan earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, along with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Business — a foundation that allows him to blend evidence-based practice with thoughtful, goal-driven care.
As a runner and strength training enthusiast himself, Brendan brings a deep understanding of performance, training cycles, and the physical and mental demands of staying active.
He is especially passionate about treating shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, and enjoys helping individuals with chronic low back pain regain control and confidence so they can get back to the activities they love.
The Longevity Lab is POST Physical Therapy’s home for proactive healthspan care. Strength, aerobic fitness, balance and muscle rank among the most powerful predictors of how long you live and how well you live those years. Yet most people go decades without ever measuring them.
The Longevity Lab changes that. Led by licensed physical therapists at POST Physical Therapy, it brings together clinical assessments that show how your body is aging, scored against people your age, so you know exactly where you stand and what deserves your attention first.
Every assessment ends with a plan. Our therapists turn your results into targeted training, retest to prove progress, and share findings with your physician when you want your whole care team on the same page.
Whether you’re training hard, feeling fine, or simply planning to stay active for decades, the Longevity Lab gives you the data and the coaching to protect your physical health for the long run.
